Social and political thought in Islam

The aim of the project is to contribute to a deeper understanding of Islamic thought beyond the topicalities of the day, explaining its social, political, and economic strategies in their original context. Based on part historical, part contemporary sources, it explores the meaning of several key concepts that do not have an exact counterpart in Western languages, making the interpretation of original sources difficult. The research aims to present the contribution of Islam to the history of social and political ideas without such conceptual distortions, and in connection with the current trends in Islamic thinking.
